A rare opportunity to buy one of the most coveted Ferraris in recent memory is right around the corner.

A 2017 LaFerrari Aperta will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s before next month’s inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. The open-top hybrid is in excellent condition and has a measly 2,072 miles on the odometer.

The LaFerrari was introduced in 2013 with the intention of being the definitive Prancing Horse. It was also the Italian marque’s first hybrid, pairing a 6.3-liter V-12 (the last featured in a mid-engine Ferrari) with an electric motor. We’re sure some purists didn’t love the idea of an electrified supercar, but a combined output of 950 hp, a 2.6-second zero-to-62-mph time and 216 mph top speed probably went a long way in silencing the doubters. The automaker built just 499 examples of the coupé, which must have sold well because an Aperta variant with a removable targa top was released in 2016. The automaker would produce just 210 examples of this version, which were only made available to owners of the original model.

This example, chassis no. 232856, is believed to have been one of the last examples built, according to the auction listing. It’s finished in Nero Daytona over a Nero leather interior, with Rosso accents inside and out. It was also optioned with Ferrari’s carbon-fiber exterior package and removable hard top. Additionally, the original owner upgraded its wheels to a set of diamond-cut FXX-KJ 10-spoke rims to complete the head-turning package.

It’s not every day that a LaFerrari Aperta hits the open market. This one has passed through the hands of three owners over the last seven years. It’s been regularly maintained since leaving the factory and the current owner even extended the powertrain warranty by two years in September. The car also comes with an additional canvas soft top, a battery charger, and original LaFerrari five-spoke wheels.

Unsurprisingly, the LaFerrari Aperta didn’t come cheap. This example cost $2.3 million originally, which included over $110,000 of add-ons. That price looks like a bargain now, though. RM Sotheby’s expects the supercar to sell for between $5.3 million and $5.8 million when it goes up for auction on Friday, November 17, in Las Vegas.
