Nautor Swan is best known for building luxurious sailing yachts, but it just proved it can design a beautiful motor yacht, too.

The Finish yard, which has been laying keels since 1966, unveiled a decidedly stylish 77-footer at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. Christened Swan Arrow, the model will be the new flagship of Nautor’s three-strong motor yacht line. It was originally intended to be a chase boat but instead became a fully fledged cruiser.

Crafted from carbon composite and GPR, the newcomer showcases the same sleek and sporty lines as the Swan racing yachts but runs purely on engines rather than harnessing the wind. In fact, it is equipped with three inboard Volvo Penta engines that will allow it to reach an impressive 40 knots at full tilt. That top speed is bettered only by the yard’s 43-foot Swan Shadow powerboat, which can hit a bonkers 55 knots all out.

Penned by the motor yacht division’s resident designer, Jarkko Jamsén, the vessel aims to offer all the features of a superyacht in a significantly smaller package. It is distinguished by a large walkaround deck that allows seafarers to enjoy life on the water. The highlight of the exterior is the aft beach club. It is equipped with platforms that fold out like origami to create a generous waterside area of about 538 square feet.

Up top, the cockpit is equipped with a sunroof and sliding doors that can create a breezy, alfresco feeling when open or a cozy, protected vibe when closed. Below deck, the living quarters have a “home-like feeling” and can accommodate up to six guests via a full-beam owner’s suite, a VIP cabin, and a twin. There is an alternative layout that sees two spacious double cabins with a lounge area amidships if you want more room to relax. In addition, the crew quarters can sleep two crew.

Swan Arrow is expected to hit the seas next summer. She may not be alone, either. The yard also presented a new 80-foot sailing yacht called the Swan 80 at Cannes but hasn’t yet given an estimated launch date.
