CRN’s latest fleet member shows what’s possible when a seafarer is steadfast in their vision.
The bespoke superyacht, known as Project Thunderball, was designed for a passionate sailor with a penchant for bluewater cruising. Featuring exterior lines and naval architecture by Vripack, the newcomer has the traditional elongated bow, low profile, and svelte silhouette of a sailing yacht. It will be delivered with a matching sailboat, too, which the owner can use for shorter day trips and adventures.
“This new yacht, with her classic, timeless line, has a striking sense of style that fully reflects the owner’s vision and requirements for a pleasure ship suited to long, pleasurable, contemplative cruises,” CRN said in a statement.
Crafted from a mix of steel and aluminum, the spacious superyacht spans five decks and has a generous interior volume of 1,100 GT. As such, there is ample space for entertaining onboard. The layout includes cabins for up to 12 guests and 15 crew, as well as numerous bars, lounges, and salons.
The stylish living quarters were brought to life by Nauta Design. The Italian studio also spearheaded the outdoor furniture. Expressing “a culture of the sea,” the decor combines charming heritage details with refined contemporary elements. You can also expect the very best “Made in Italy” craftsmanship that has become synonymous with CRN.
CRN didn’t provide any details regarding Thunderball’s propulsion but says the vessel will continue the shipyard’s sustainability commitment through the use of a peak shaving system to increase energy efficiency and slash fuel consumption. It will cruise in the Mediterranean, the Bahamas, Florida, and beyond, acting as a base for diving, sailing, and underwater fishing. CRN says the owner can expect highly efficient cruising and comfortable, convenient maneuvering.
Thunderball won’t be the only CRN cruiser hitting the seas in the near future, either. The Italian outfit is currently building three other custom vessels at Ferretti Group’s multi-brand yard in Ancona, including a 236-footer, a 220-footer, and a 279-footer. Stay tuned.
