Maserati’s latest MC20 is a creature of the night.
The Italian marque has unveiled the first limited-edition version of its stylish mid-engine supercar. The MC20 Notte comes with a special black-on-black makeover that has the coupe looking sharper than ever before.
The new variant is the fourth MC20 we’ve seen since the vehicle’s launch in 2020, joining the base model, the open-top Cielo and the track-only MCXtrema. “Notte” is Italian for “night,” so it’s little surprise to see the new model done up in sinister black. The shapely exterior of each example of the exclusive MC20 is finished in a matte black that the automaker calls “nero essenza.” The hue is broken up only by the car’s badging, which is now finished in matte white gold as opposed to the chrome found on the other versions of the car. The same black-and-gold color combo can also be found on the 20-inch wheels, while the brake calipers behind them are also painted black.

The Notte’s interior has also been restyled. The black-and-gold theme carries over to the cabin. This includes the two six-way-adjustable seats which are both covered in black and grey microsuede with yellow contrast stitching. The interior badging is finished in the same matte white gold found on the vehicle’s exterior. The last detail is a gold plaque installed on the rear cabin wall, between the two seats, that identifies the car as “Unda di 50” just in case anyone thinks you’re driving a regular all-black MC20.
The Notte variant is really just an appearance package, so its mechanical bits have been left alone. That means its “Nettuno” powertrain—a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission—still churns out a more-than-respectable 621 hp and 538 ft lbs of torque. That’s enough power to rocket the car from zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, zero to 124 mph in 8.8 seconds, and to a top speed of 202 mph.
Intrigued? Maserati plans to build just 50 examples of the MC20 Notte, which will be available in all regions. No price has been announced, but it seems all but assured to cost more than the supercar’s usual $217,000 starting price.
